Hadassah UK (HUK) brings to London from our hospital in Jerusalem, some of our best practitioners in medicine who have developed world-leading techniques.
This week HUK brought one of our best and more unusual, David Barashi (DuSH) their Head Dream Doctors Medical Clown. Hospital Medical Clowning in Israel has developed in a different way to the UK over the past 15 years, from an initial experiment at Hadassah bringing in children’s entertainers to Hadassah hospitals, into an advanced para-medical technique. It is no “laughing matter”, but is now Israel technology at its best.
Last night HUK held a musical event for 400 people at Kinloss Synagogue called “Send in the Clowns” with our very own three tenors; Steven Leas, Jonny Turgel and Danny Bergson, the Shabbaton Choir and both the Sacks Morasha and Immanuel College Children’s Choirs, who sang like angels. Stephen Levey arranged all the lovely music and the singers practiced for so long and hard beforehand to create such a wonderful evening.
A river of smiles was overflowing during the evening, on the stage and off, so that nobody left the evening without a huge smile on their face.
Whilst Dush is here in London, he is conducting training sessions, working in hospitals speaking at hosted evenings and at synagogues.
