Young Hadassah International (YHI), is a vital part of Hadassah International, and is a network of dynamic men and women of different backgrounds between the ages of 18-35 from Argentina, Belgium, France, Germany, Holland, Israel, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Kingdom …and we're continuing to grow. Determined to promote universal health care without discrimination, YHI volunteers are staunch supporters of the Hadassah Medical Organisation and aim to inspire future leaders to support Hadassah International’s mission as a bridge to nations through medicine. "Our volunteers share a passionate intensity, a sense of social responsibility, and a commitment to build a better world through medicine..." YHI is dedicated to raising funds for, educating others about, and establishing medical and scientific exchanges with the Hadassah Medical Organisation. YHI has made a difference by supporting specific projects at the Hadassah Medical Organisation, including psychological treatment and computer equipment for Paediatric Oncology patients and construction of the Paediatric Department at the new Centre for Emergency Medicine. Through the years, Young Hadassah International’s signature activity has been an annual World Wide Walk, taking place simultaneously around the globe to raise money for specific projects. Other activities include discos with DJs and live bands, cruise ship parties, business breakfasts, fashion shows, concerts and dinners. Young Hadassah UK One of the most vibrant young charities in the UK, the Young Hadassah team is determined to organise exciting, innovative and original events in order to raise donations as well as the profile of the Hadassah Medical Organisation. The YHUK committee consists of young professionals who want to ensure that other like-minded young people can really understand and feel part of the good work the Hadassah Medical Organisation does. The YHUK committee aims to provide young professionals with a long-standing connection to Hadassah and through its innovative ideas, it hopes it can achieve its goal.
Young Hadassah team up for "Salute to Israel" Parade. Young Hadassah United Kingdom and Laniado Hospital of Netanya, Israel took to the streets of London together on an open-top bus as part of the “Salute to Israel” parade in London. The two groups teamed up for this first such parade in London, in celebration of their shared mission. There was a group of anti-Israel protesters at the parade. "But when we drove past," reports Alex Gold, Co-Chair of Young Hadassah UK, "some of them actually smiled and clapped." Young Hadassah UK
