Hadassah opens simulation centre for computer-guided surgery

Hadassah has opened Israel’s first simulation centre for computer-guided surgeries in its hospital in Ein Karem. The centre is the result of a collaboration bringing together industry, academia and clinicians, and will be used to test new technologies and train surgeons in all types of procedures.

The use of computers in surgery allows for greater accuracy and enables surgeons to carry out complicated procedures through smaller incisions, thereby reducing recovery times.

A world leader in the field, Hadassah performed the first ever computer guided hip replacement three years ago.
